The Journey

We’ve been a certified and practicing Ashtanga Yoga  since 2005. The foundation of our practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. I heard about SAY yoga class from the friends who were already 5-6 months into it. They spoke very highly about  it , how it was helping with their physical and mental health.
I have heard of yoga from my mother who had joined  a class for a few months in her 50s and is still continuing to do what suits her  but I have never understood what it entailed as I was not around her.
I have a busy work life . Occasionally went to the gym to free myself off the guilt . Same would go cycling when the weather was good . Used to play badminton but found it hard to find someone to play with. Otherwise my only little flexibility was from my weekly Bollywood dance  which was more a social get together. So spoke to my husband and said how about joining SAY
So we joined finally, I should say that this is best thing that I have ever done 
I think it had helped me to focus better.
I am going through the menopause. I had all the symptoms that came with it fatigue, mind fog, hot flushes & achy joints, since I took this class it has helped me a lot with my symptoms.
The teachers are very good, patient, punctual and help us take it step wise .
The classes are held in such forms that every class works on different stretches.
Yoga is helping me better with my exercise tolerance too, I gave noticed that when we go for small treks up a climb I can do better now without getting as breathless like before. 
Waking at 4.30 am for my classes shows that I am feeling positive about this whole class.
As a Doctor I see a lot of advantage of yoga for our physical and mental well being.
I have to say the on line classes are very good. The teachers are able to check on all minor corrections. That’s helpful doing it from our own space. I am getting there slowly but surely. 
I would suggest this to everyone, It’s never too late !
